As a Senior Backend Developer in our Cape Town office, you will be responsible for building and maintaining our backend systems, understanding the business logic and workflows of our applications. Your expertise in backend services and a team-player attitude will be vital as you collaborate with cross-functional teams to build robust products.

Responsibilities

• Lead backend projects and mentor junior developers.
• Design scalable APIs and services.
• Conduct regular code reviews and establish best practices.
• Foster a proactive approach to backend development.
• Participate in architecture discussions and planning.
• Manage version control systems effectively.
• Assist in the deployment of new releases.

• Actively participate in agile development methodologies.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in software development with a focus on backend technologies
