Job Description

We are in search of a skilled Cloud Engineer based in Cape Town who will support our DevOps and Cloud Computing initiatives. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in building resilient cloud infrastructures, ensuring high availability, and optimizing deployment processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of cloud strategies aligned with company goals.
• Ensure application scalability and reliability through effective cloud services usage.
• Implement security measures and ensure data protection across cloud platforms.
• Perform system updates and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
• Coordinate with IT teams to facilitate uninterrupted services and operations.
• Stay updated with market trends and cloud technology advancements.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cloud technologies and DevOps practices

Technical Skills

• CI/CD Tools
• Network Configuration

Soft Skills

• Communication skills

Certifications

• Google Professional Cloud Architect
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with HashiCorp Vault and Secrets Management: Hands-on experience managing secrets and sensitive data within cloud environments.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies: Understanding of Agile practices and experience working in Agile teams.
