Structural Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our Cape Town team. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and analysing structures, ensuring the safety and sustainability of construction projects while collaborating with architects and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design projects from conception through completion.
• Coordinate with various stakeholders to align engineering solutions with project goals.
• Review and analyse structural plans and documents for accuracy.
• Ensure timely completion of engineering documents and compliance submissions.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Master's degree in structural engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of structural engineering experience preferred

• Revit
• Finite Element Analysis

• Team Leadership
• Critical Thinking

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Certified Construction Manager (CCM)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational
