Job Description

We are seeking a Data Science Strategist to lead our analytics initiatives in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will leverage their skills in data analysis and machine learning to drive strategic decision-making and deliver insightful data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead data initiatives to develop and apply predictive analytics techniques.
• Optimize data collection and storage processes for efficiency.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on data strategy.
• Translate business requirements into data analytics solutions.
• Deliver presentations that summarize analysis results for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Facilitate workshops to foster a data-driven culture within the organization.
• Oversee the maintenance and improvement of existing data models.
• Check data quality and reliability for reporting purposes.
• Support ad-hoc data queries and analyses as required.
• Document processes and develop user guides for internal analytics tools.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field
• Master's degree or PhD in Data Science or related field is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in data analytics or related fields

Technical Skills

• Advanced SQL

Languages

• English: Fluent
