Job Description

We are seeking skilled Grinding, Lapping, Polishing, and Buffing Machine Operators to join our Cape Town manufacturing team. As a key part of our operations, you will be responsible for finishing a variety of metal and plastic products to meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust equipment for different product specifications.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal operation.
• Document production processes and output, maintaining accurate records.
• Train new staff on machine operation and safety protocols.
• Identify areas for process improvements to enhance efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in a relevant manufacturing role

Technical Skills

• Experience with automated sanding and polishing machines

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of different material types: Understanding of various metals and plastics used in manufacturing.
• Lean manufacturing experience: Familiarity with principles of lean manufacturing for process improvement.
