Pharmacist

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified pharmacist to join our dynamic team in East London. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent patient care, ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, and supporting the healthcare team in delivering optimal outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient medication regimens.
• Provide drug information and advice to health professionals.
• Coordinate with other healthcare staff to enhance patient care.
• Prepare and manage patient medication orders.
• Participate in health promotion activities.
• Facilitate medication reviews for chronic disease management.
• Lead initiatives to improve pharmacy services.
• Maintain the pharmacy's inventory management.

Requirements

Education

• Master’s degree in Pharmacy is preferred

Experience

• Strong clinical pharmacy experience with at least 3 years in a community pharmacy setting.

• Clinical Assessment Skills
• Pharmacy Software Proficiency

Certifications

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans: Ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
• Pharmacy management experience: Experience in managing pharmacy operations and staff.
