We are seeking an API Developer to design, develop, and maintain APIs for our cutting-edge applications in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creating efficient and secure APIs, ensuring both performance and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement strategies for API testing and maintenance.
• Act as a mentor for junior developers and help accelerate their learning.
• Engage with stakeholders to clarify technical requirements and specifications.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to API development.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in developing APIs and backend systems

Technical Skills

• GraphQL
• Microservices Architecture

Certifications

• Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Developer

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in TypeScript: Experience in TypeScript for better API development.
