Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Underwriter to evaluate risks and determine appropriate coverage for clients. The successful candidate will play a vital role in our underwriting team, ensuring that policy applications meet our company's standards and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for new applications.
• Implement underwriting guidelines and evaluate exceptions.
• Collaborate with risk assessment teams to ensure accuracy in evaluations.
• Review claims history to identify patterns that affect risk levels.
• Participate in policy development to enhance product offerings.
• Assist in audits and compliance reviews as part of the underwriting process.
• Provide input on pricing structures based on risk assessments.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and brokers.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or related field
• Master's degree in Business Administration is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in underwriting or insurance

Technical Skills

• Financial analysis
• Knowledge of regulations

Certifications

• Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA)
• Associate in Risk Management (ARM)

Languages

• English: Fluent
