Forensic Science Technician

Job Description

As a Forensic Science Technician, you'll analyze and interpret ballistic data, conduct tests and experiments, and provide essential technical support to various departments within the company. This role plays a vital part in our defense and security initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on industry trends regarding ballistic technology.
• Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to align product development with market needs.
• Analyze performance data to improve testing efficiency.
• Write articles and papers for publication in forensic journals.
• Engage in outreach programs to educate the community about forensic science.
• Assist in the development of policies and procedures for forensic testing.
• Coordinate with external labs for specialized analytical services.
• Participate in forensic science workshops and seminars.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's in Forensic Science, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in ballistic analysis and testing

Technical Skills

• ANOVA and Statistical Analysis
• Computer-Aided Design (CAD)

Soft Skills

• Creativity
• Detail-Oriented

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of finite element analysis (FEA): Experience using FEA tools for stress analysis in ballistics.
• Proficient in ANSYS and COMSOL software: Ability to utilize FEA software for simulations.
