Architectural Drafter

Job Description

As an Architectural Drafter, you will work closely with architects and engineers to prepare technical drawings and plans. Your attention to detail and knowledge of industry standards will be essential in ensuring our projects meet high quality and sustainability benchmarks.

Responsibilities

• Draft detailed architectural plans and sections for various projects.
• Ensure all drawings are produced to a high standard and within specified timelines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for integrated project designs.
• Review and update drawings based on feedback from project reviews.
• Manage project files and ensure all documentation is systematically organized.
• Participate in design workshops and brainstorming sessions.
• Provide support in site visits and inspections as needed.
• Research and incorporate innovative design techniques and materials.
• Maintain knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
• Assist in the development of project budgets and timelines.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma or Degree in Architecture or similar field
• Postgraduate qualifications are an advantage

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years experience in architectural drafting

Technical Skills

• Autodesk Suite
• Civil 3D

Soft Skills

• Time Management
• Creativity

Certifications

• Building Information Modeling (BIM) Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Project Management Skills: Ability to manage small-scale architectural projects from inception to completion.
