Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated General Practitioner to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of medical conditions while providing exceptional care to our patients. You will play a crucial role in the health and well-being of the community.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose medical issues in a timely manner.
• Utilize electronic health records to track patient progress.
• Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Provide compassionate care and emotional support to patients and families.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the practice.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent medical degree
• Additional diplomas in specialized fields are advantageous

Experience

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a primary care setting

Certifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
• Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems: Experience in using EMR systems for patient documentation.
• Strong knowledge of chronic disease management: Particularly in managing conditions prevalent in our community.
