Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Civil Engineer to support our ongoing and future infrastructure projects in Johannesburg. This role requires a strong knowledge of engineering principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with construction teams and stakeholders to bring designs to life. You will also be responsible for conducting site inspections and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement civil engineering projects focusing on public infrastructure.
• Analyze project requirements and specifications to create efficient designs.
• Monitor construction progress to ensure adherence to project plans.
• Communication with project clients and stakeholders regarding project updates.
• Ensure compliance with local and national regulations for civil engineering.
• Utilize engineering software to assist in project development.
• Train and mentor junior team members on engineering best practices.
• Prepare accurate cost estimations for projects based on plans.

Requirements

Education

• BSc in Civil Engineering
• Professional Engineering registration is preferred

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of civil engineering experience working on infrastructure projects.
