Clinical Psychologist

Job Description

As a Clinical Psychologist at our Johannesburg clinic, you will play a critical role in the mental health of our patients. You will conduct psychological evaluations, provide therapy, and report on client progress while working closely with a dedicated healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Assess client mental health status through interviews and tests.
• Design and implement effective treatment plans tailored to individual client needs.
• Engage in family therapy sessions to enhance support for clients.
• Document client interactions and maintain up-to-date records.
• Attend training and professional development sessions.
• Contribute to research and clinical trials as applicable.
• Advocate for client needs within healthcare systems.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology
• Ph.D. in Psychology is an advantage

Experience

• 4-6 years of clinical experience preferred

Technical Skills

• Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
• Mindfulness Techniques

Soft Skills

• Interpersonal Skills
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Certificate in Trauma-Focused Therapy
• HPCSA Registered Psychologist

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic
