Job Description

We are looking for a talented Interior Designer to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing and executing innovative interior designs that meet client specifications. You'll collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients to create beautiful, function-driven spaces. If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for design, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial consultations with clients to establish project scope and vision.
• Draft design proposals and present them to clients for feedback.
• Collaborate with vendors to source materials and furnishings.
• Supervise installation processes and ensure quality control.
• Research and apply sustainable design practices where possible.
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Document design processes and update project files consistently.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Architecture or a related field
• Master's degree in Interior Design is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in residential and commercial design

Technical Skills

• 3D Rendering
• Space Planning

• Interpersonal Skills
• Attention to Detail

Certifications

• Interior Design Society (IDS) membership
• Sustainable Design Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Proficiency in advanced design software: Experience with programs like 3ds Max, Revit, or Rhino.
• Project management certification: Certification in project management methodologies.
