Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Aide who will work directly with patients to facilitate their daily activities and support their physical therapy sessions. You will be integral to our team, ensuring patients feel safe and comfortable while achieving their recovery goals.

Responsibilities

• Support patients during physical therapy exercises and treatments.
• Help implement prescribed therapy plans under the supervision of the therapist.
• Assist patients with mobility tasks, ensuring their safety.
• Maintain hygiene standards and infection control protocols.
• Participate in patient evaluations and assist with necessary adjustments.
• Keep track of inventory and assist in ordering supplies.
• Contribute to a positive team culture and professional environment.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant healthcare qualification or diploma is advantageous

Experience

• Experience in an outpatient care environment is beneficial.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of medical terminology
• First Aid and CPR

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques: Familiarity with various rehabilitation exercises and therapies.
