Job Description

We are looking for an IT Support Technician to join our dynamic team in Durban. You will play a crucial role in providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring a smooth operational environment. The ideal candidate should have both the technical skills and a customer-centric attitude to assist users effectively.

Responsibilities

• Handle first line support for user issues related to hardware and software.
• Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related problems efficiently.
• Setup and configure new workstations and devices.
• Assist in maintaining the local area network (LAN).
• Provide timely responses to user inquiries and issues.
• Work with suppliers for IT procurement and support.
• Participate in the IT project management team for upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with company IT policies and best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
• Relevant certifications are desirable

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in IT support
