Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Environmental Engineer to develop and implement sustainable solutions for environmental protection in Cape Town. This role involves conducting environmental assessments, collaborating with governmental agencies, and advising on regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in environmental science, engineering principles, and project management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental impact assessments for new projects and activities.
• Prepare technical documentation, project proposals, and reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project deliverables are met.
• Develop and implement environmental management plans.
• Monitor compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
• Provide technical advice to clients on environmental issues.
• Participate in site inspections and audits.
• Evaluate data from environmental modeling and assessments.
• Facilitate public consultations and stakeholder engagement.
• Assist in the development of sustainability strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in a related field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of demonstrated experience in environmental projects
