Responsibilities

• Oversee the account reconciliation process.
• Coordinate the workflow of accounting information.
• Develop and enforce internal controls to prevent financial errors.
• Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet deadlines.
• Conduct financial analysis to guide strategic decision-making.
• Prepare supporting documentation for audits.
• Engage with external auditors during audit cycles.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CA(SA) qualification is an advantage

Experience

• 2-4 years' experience in a similar accounting role

Technical Skills

• Accounting Software (e.g., Pastel, QuickBooks)
• Microsoft Excel

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Communication Skills

Certifications

• Registered Accountant (SA)
• CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting (advantageous)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with tax compliance and auditing processes: Hands-on experience handling taxes and working with auditors.
• Familiarity with financial regulations in South Africa: Strong understanding of the accounting standards and regulations applicable in South Africa.
