Accountant

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial data and prepare summaries for management.
• Ensure timely submission of all tax and compliance-related documents.
• Review invoices and maintain vendor relationships.
• Assist in financial modeling and forecasting.
• Liaise with external parties for financial assessments.
• Implement financial policies and procedures.
• Create and maintain filing systems for financial documents.
• Assist in treasury management activities.
• Support the management team with financial decision-making.
• Conduct research on financial regulations and their implementation.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
• Master's degree is beneficial

Experience

• 5+ years in accounting or finance roles with increasing responsibilities
