Job Description

We are looking for an Aviation Safety Officer to join our team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will oversee safety management protocols, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with aviation regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety management systems and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough investigations into safety incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Facilitate safety workshops to enhance employee engagement in safety practices.
• Monitor the effectiveness of safety training and make necessary adjustments.
• Track emerging safety trends and implement best practices.
• Ensure all safety documentation is up to date and easily accessible.
• Respond to safety queries from staff and provide expert guidance.
• Collaborate with other departments to foster a culture of safety.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management or related field
• Postgraduate qualifications in Safety Management preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in regulatory compliance or safety management

Technical Skills

• Auditing

Certifications

• Certified Aviation Safety Professional (CASP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
