DevOps Engineer

Job Description

Are you a skilled DevOps Engineer looking to make an immediate impact? In this role, based in Cape Town, you will leverage your expertise in cloud services and CI/CD practices to improve our infrastructure and application performance. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure seamless operations.

Responsibilities

• Architect systems for scalability and reliability.
• Manage network configurations and firewalls.
• Ensure high availability and performance of applications in the cloud.
• Document processes and create knowledge base articles.
• Lead initiatives for continuous integration and continuous deployment.
• Mentor junior members of the team.
• Engage with stakeholders for alignment on infrastructure goals.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in a DevOps/Cloud Engineer role

Technical Skills

• Ansible
• CI/CD Tools

Certifications

• Google Professional DevOps Engineer
• Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Networking Concepts: Suitable knowledge of core networking concepts is preferred.
• Experience with Scripting Languages: Familiar with Python or Bash scripting for automation tasks.
