The Pharmacy Technologist will play a crucial role in managing and dispensing medication within our state-of-the-art pharmacy. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Accurately label and dispense medications to patients.
• Manage stock levels and assist in inventory control.
• Provide counseling on medication use and side effects to patients.
• Maintain a professional environment while providing customer support.
• Assist in the preparation of complex medications when necessary.
• Support the management of patient records to ensure accuracy.
• Adhere to legislative and regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in pharmacy audits and quality assurance processes.
• Handle prescription claims and assist with medical aid processes.
• Help implement policies and procedures to maintain pharmacy standards.

Advantageous

• Experience with HIV medications: Knowledge of medications used in the treatment of HIV.
• Familiarity with compounding and sterile preparations: Skills in preparing custom medications and sterile solutions.
