Certified Orthotic Fitter

Job Description

As a Certified Orthotic Fitter, you will design, construct, and fit orthotic devices for patients suffering from musculoskeletal or neuromuscular disorders. This role requires collaboration with medical professionals to ensure that patients receive optimal care and support.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients for the necessity of orthotic devices and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Measure and fit patients for custom devices ensuring comfort and effectiveness.
• Educate patients and families about the function and care of their orthotic devices.
• Maintain detailed documentation of patient interactions and outcomes.
• Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons and physical therapists to facilitate optimal patient care.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field is preferred
• Certification in Orthotics is essential

Experience

• 2 years in an orthotics role is highly desirable.
