Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Underwriter to assess risks and determine coverage terms for clients. You will play a crucial role in evaluating applications, analyzing risk factors, and making informed decisions to ensure profitability for the company.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with insurance agents and brokers.
• Perform regular audits of underwritten policies to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Monitor and manage the overall risk exposure of the insurance portfolio.
• Provide training and mentorship to new underwriters on best practices.
• Compile reports on underwriting decisions and claim outcomes to assist in strategic planning.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
• Insurance qualification such as CII or similar is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years in underwriting or related roles
