Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will manage a variety of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations while maintaining cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments for upcoming projects.
• Design and update plans for the construction of buildings, roads, and other infrastructure.
• Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to define project scopes and objectives.
• Ensure that projects adhere to local engineering codes and environmental regulations.
• Supervise construction activities and provide regular reports on progress.
• Perform risk assessments and provide solutions to mitigate potential risks.
• Prepare and manage budgets for engineering projects.
• Evaluate proposals from contractors for projects.
• Liaise with government agencies, clients, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns, guiding them through designs and project management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Postgraduate qualifications beneficial

Experience

• 5-8 years of relevant experience in civil engineering roles
