Job Description

Responsibilities

• Perform initial patient assessments, including history and physical examination.
• Prescribe medications and treatments when necessary.
• Facilitate referrals to specialists and other healthcare providers.
• Conduct follow-up visits to monitor patients' progress.
• Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior medical staff.
• Engage in community health initiatives and outreach programs.
• Promote health education in the community.

Requirements

Education

• Medical degree (MBChB or equivalent)
• Completion of internship and community service

Experience

• 5 years' experience preferred

• Diagnostic skills

Certifications

• HPCSA Registration
• Family Medicine Certification (optional)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

• Previous experience in rural healthcare settings: Experience in providing healthcare in under-resourced areas.
