Job Description

As a Sewing Machine Operator at our company, you will be responsible for operating industrial sewing machines to create high-quality garments. You will need a strong understanding of garment construction and various sewing techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate various types of sewing machines for garment construction.
  • Inspect finished products to guarantee they meet the required specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues to minimize downtime during production.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment through effective communication.
  • Monitor production rates and report any discrepancies to management.
  • Assist in fabric cutting and preparation as required for new garments.
  • Maintain organized records of production output and fabric usage.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Support the development of new products by providing feedback on patterns and designs.

Requirements

Education
  • Matric or equivalent
  • Certification in Clothing Production or related field is advantageous
Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the clothing production industry is required.
