Responsibilities

• Administer psychological tests to assess clients’ mental health.
• Create tailored intervention strategies to support client recovery.
• Offer psychotherapy and counseling in individual and group settings.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
• Document client progress and treatment outcomes diligently.
• Engage in community outreach and mental health education.
• Supervise interns and junior staff as required.

Requirements

Education

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in clinical practice preferred

Technical Skills

• Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
• Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Critical Thinking

Certifications

• Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) Registration

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience with Group Therapy: Capability to facilitate group therapy sessions effectively.
• Dual Registration in Clinical and Counselling Psychology: Registered with HPCSA as both Clinical and Counselling Psychologist.
