We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Pietermaritzburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for the diagnosis, treatment, and care of various animal species. Responsibilities

• Conduct health assessments and physical examinations on animals.
• Manage pre-operative and post-operative care for surgical cases.
• Educate pet owners on animal care and behavior.
• Respond to emergency situations and provide appropriate treatment.
• Participate in community outreach programs on animal health.
• Supervise veterinary technicians and support staff.
• Stay updated on advancements in veterinary medicine.
• Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations and standards.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent
• Postgraduate qualifications in small animal surgery is advantageous

Experience

• 2+ years of clinical experience in veterinary practices
