We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Pietermaritzburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for the diagnosis, treatment, and care of various animal species. Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat injuries, infections, and diseases.
• Perform routine surgeries and emergency procedures.
• Advise clients on nutrition, behavior, and training of their animals.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Collaborate with local animal shelters and rescue organizations.
• Contribute to establishing protocols for best practices in care.
• Support pet owners in understanding their pets' medical issues.
• Participate in training and mentoring junior staff members.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent
• Postgraduate qualifications in small animal surgery is advantageous

Experience

• 2+ years of clinical experience in veterinary practices
