Job Description

We are currently seeking a Structural Engineer to join our team in Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing project requirements, conducting analyses, and producing designs for commercial and residential structures. You will play a key role in ensuring that projects are completed on time and adhere to the relevant standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review project proposals for structural integrity.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on project designs.
• Lead project meetings discussing engineering-related technical matters.
• Review designs created by peers and offer constructive feedback.
• Implement software solutions for design and analysis.
• Maintain knowledge of local and international building codes.
• Conduct structural inspections and advise on repairs.
• Provide innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges.
• Prepare and present project reports to stakeholders.
• Manage project resources and budgets effectively.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is highly regarded

Experience

• 5-7 years of experience in structural design and analysis

• Finite Element Analysis
• Revit

Certifications

• Certified Structural Engineer (CSE)
• Safety Management Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
