We are seeking a skilled Wood Cutter to join our team in Knysna. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in cutting, shaping, and processing wood to produce high-quality products across various industries. This role is critical in our supply chain, ensuring sustainable practices and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate saw machines for wood processing
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Assist in planning production schedules
• Ensure compliance with safety standards during operations
• Train new employees on machine operation and safety protocols
• Record production data for quality assurance
• Address any machine malfunctions promptly
• Collaborate with logistics for effective material handling
• Execute wood cutting processes as per specifications
• Engage in problem-solving to improve efficiency

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Additional certification in woodworking is advantageous

Experience

• 2-4 years of practical experience in woodworking

Languages
