We are seeking a highly skilled Actuary in Pretoria to join our expert team. You will work collaboratively with other professionals to develop innovative insurance products and optimize pricing strategies while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex financial analyses to inform business strategies.
• Review and refine models to improve analytical accuracy and efficiency.
• Examine reserve levels and suggest appropriate adjustments.
• Facilitate cross-functional discussions to strategize risk mitigation.
• Prepare regulatory filings and ensure accurate disclosures.
• Lead actuarial training sessions for new hires and staff.
• Evaluate reinsurance structures for risk transfer opportunities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or related field
• Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries or similar certification is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in actuarial roles, preferably within insurance or consulting

• Statistical Analysis
• Actuarial Software (e.g. SAS, R, or Python)

Certifications

• Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries
