Job Description

We are seeking a talented Fashion Designer to join our creative team in Durban. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of style, creativity, and the ability to translate trends into new clothing collections. You will be responsible for designing, fitting, and producing garments while collaborating with other team members to ensure that every piece aligns with our brand's vision.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and design fashion collections for seasonal launches.
• Work with a team to execute designs from sketch to final product.
• Conduct fittings and oversee garment alterations.
• Create detailed illustrations and technical sketches for production.
• Collaborate on marketing campaigns to effectively showcase collections.
• Develop budget estimates for new collections and manage costs effectively.
• Evaluate and select fabric suppliers and manufacturers.
• Incorporate feedback from clients and team members to refine designs.
• Stay updated on sustainable fashion practices and integrate them into designs.
• Lead team brainstorm sessions to inspire creative concepts.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Fashion Design or related field
• Fashion marketing courses are a plus

Experience

• 2-4 years in a fashion design role, preferably in a similar industry

Languages
