Job Description

As a Cloud Solutions Architect in our Cape Town office, you will play a critical role in shaping cloud strategies and implementations. You will collaborate closely with development and operations teams to ensure optimal integration and functionality of cloud services. A strong knowledge of cloud platforms and DevOps practices is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive cloud strategy implementation across the business.
• Collaborate on application development to ensure cloud optimization.
• Participate in incidents and problem management related to cloud systems.
• Work on disaster recovery planning and business continuity strategies.
• Continuously evaluate cloud services and improving existing processes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent
• Relevant certifications in cloud technologies is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years in cloud computing and IT infrastructure

Technical Skills

• Docker
• Python or Java

Soft Skills

• Adaptability
• Analytical Skills

Certifications

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
• Google Professional Cloud Architect

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies: Experience working in Agile teams and utilizing Agile principles to improve project delivery.
• Cloud cost management experience: Experience with tools for managing and optimizing cloud costs.
