Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will manage financial records, prepare financial statements, and ensure compliance with regulations. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and an understanding of financial laws.

Responsibilities

• Manage the company's financial data and ensure accuracy.
• Assist in tax preparation and compliance.
• Develop financial controls to mitigate risks.
• Engage in regular financial reviews and reconciliations.
• Support audits and regulatory inspections.
• Provide guidance and support on financial matters to staff.
• Help drive process improvements in accounting practices.
• Participate in training and development activities for staff.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Master's degree or higher qualification is a plus

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in accounting or finance position

• Financial Reporting

Certifications

• Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
