Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Building Inspector to join our dynamic team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting inspections of residential and commercial buildings to ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations, while also ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the inspection process for both new and existing structures.
• Ensure that inspections are conducted according to established protocols.
• Document all findings and report discrepancies promptly.
• Liaise with governmental agencies regarding building codes.
• Promote safety standards and practices in all inspections.
• Assist in training junior inspectors on procedures and compliance.
• Update inspection procedures based on regulatory changes.
• Foster positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Building Inspection or related field
• Higher certificate in Building Construction is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in construction or related inspections

• Expertise in compliance regulations
• Building materials knowledge

• English: Fluent
