Job Description

Join our Cape Town office as an Actuarial Analyst, where you will provide crucial analytical support to the business through the interpretation of data and risk modeling. Ideal candidates will have a keen eye for detail, experience with actuarial software, and strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Calculate and communicate reserve requirements for various products.
  • Perform stress testing and scenario analysis to advise decision-makers.
  • Assess the adequacy of pricing models and strategies.
  • Mentor junior actuarial staff and assist in their professional development.
  • Prepare responses for regulatory submissions and company audits.
  • Facilitate workshops or training sessions on actuarial models as needed.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
  • Actuarial exams progress towards full qualification preferred
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in actuarial roles or relevant internships
