Logistics Coordinator

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to oversee supply chain operations and ensure efficient logistics processes within our organization. The ideal candidate will be experienced in coordinating shipments, managing inventory, and liaising with carriers to optimize delivery times and costs.

Responsibilities

• Manage logistics planning and ensure inventory optimization.
• Coordinate with suppliers and transporters for timely and cost-effective delivery solutions.
• Prepare and manage budgets for logistics operations, ensuring cost control.
• Ensure that all logistical operations comply with local regulations and safety standards.
• Investigate and resolve any issues related to the logistics process.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party logistics providers.
• Support cross-functional teams with logistics insights for sales and operational strategies.
• Implement logistics software and systems to improve workflow.
• Ensure that documentation is complete and accurate for all shipments.
• Develop contingency plans to manage logistics disruptions effectively.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain management

Certifications

• Logistics and Supply Chain Management Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Sotho: Conversational
