Are you a travel enthusiast with a knack for customer service? We are looking for a Travel Consultant to help craft unique travel experiences for our customers in Johannesburg. You will guide clients through the travel process and handle inquiries with a friendly approach.

Responsibilities

• Develop tailored travel plans that match client needs and preferences.
• Provide assistance during travel for any unforeseen issues.
• Keep clients informed with travel updates and changes.
• Actively seek new business opportunities to enhance the travel agency's portfolio.
• Manage daily administrative tasks effectively.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a high level of service.
• Organize events and workshops related to travel destinations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent
• Higher certificate in Travel and Tourism is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in travel planning or consultancy

Technical Skills

• GDS Systems
• Microsoft Office Suite

• Interpersonal Skills
• Time Management

Certifications

• Travel Consultant Certification
• IATA Certification (highly regarded)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience with group travel planning: Ability to manage arrangements for group travels and events.
• Proficiency in another language: Bonus if fluent in French or German.
