Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join our dynamic team in Durban. You will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications, providing patient education, and managing pharmacy operations. A strong focus on customer service and healthcare excellence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily pharmacy operations under the guidance of the Pharmacy Manager.
• Verify the accuracy of prescriptions and medication dispensation.
• Educate patients about their medications and possible side effects.
• Monitor drug interactions and patient health outcomes.
• Conduct regular audits of medication inventory and quality assurance.
• Support promotional health campaigns and community outreach.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for patient care.
• Train and mentor junior pharmacy staff.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm)
• Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Pharmacy is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a community pharmacy setting

Certifications

• Registered Pharmacist with the South African Pharmacy Council
• Basic Life Support Certification

• English: Fluent
