DevOps Engineer

Job Description

As a DevOps Engineer based in Port Elizabeth, you'll play a key role in bridging the gap between development and operations. Your efforts will drive continuous integration and deployment practices, enhancing our overall productivity and service quality.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement cloud-based strategies to optimize performance.
• Ensure continuous delivery by implementing CI/CD frameworks.
• Foster communication between development and operations teams.
• Troubleshoot complex systems related issues and develop solutions.
• Utilize container orchestration tools to manage infrastructure.
• Build strong monitoring and alerting capabilities.
• Continuously improve processes through automation.
• Encourage a culture of quality and efficiency.
• Document processes and aids in knowledge sharing.
• Mentor team members on industry best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Relevant certifications are a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of progressive experience in DevOps

Technical Skills

• Terraform
• Ansible

Soft Skills

• Analytical thinking
• Effective communication

Certifications

• Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
