Site Reliability Engineer

Job Description

Looking for a dynamic Site Reliability Engineer with a knack for problem-solving in our Cape Town office. You will ensure our applications work efficiently, troubleshooting issues and implementing robust solutions. Engage with cross-functional teams to enhance system architectures and improve software reliability.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and deploy new technologies to enhance infrastructural stability.
• Create and maintain continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
• Work closely with developers to inform them of operational issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis post-incident to prevent recurrence.
• Experiment with and learn new tools and techniques for improving efficiency.
• Work on capacity planning and system scaling strategies.
• Provide training and support for other team members.
• Keep documentation of systems and tasks up to date.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a reliability engineering role
