Network Engineer

Job Description

Join our dynamic IT team as a Network Engineer in Johannesburg. You will be pivotal in maintaining network systems, responding to technical issues, and implementing network strategies that improve performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN).
• Ensure the security of the network against unauthorized access.
• Perform routine network performance assessments and capacity planning.
• Implement network monitoring systems to ensure efficient operations.
• Help facilitate disaster recovery strategies and backup plans.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for network support.
• Provide technical support to internal teams regarding network hardware and software.
• Conduct training sessions for employees on network usage best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Networking, or a related field

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in network engineering or support
