Sales Associate

Job Description

Looking for a Sales Associate to enhance our customer experience in Port Elizabeth. You will assist customers with their purchases, answer queries, and help achieve sales targets while maintaining a tidy and organized store.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high-level of customer service and satisfaction.
• Effectively communicate product features and benefits.
• Assist in training and onboarding new associates.
• Engage in cross-selling and up-selling techniques.
• Support the team in maintaining store cleanliness and organization.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss sales strategies.
• Track and report on sales metrics and targets.
• Contribute to a positive team atmosphere.

Requirements

Education

• Matric Certificate
• Sales or marketing qualification is preferred

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in retail sales

Technical Skills

• Point of Sale (POS) Systems
• Product Knowledge

Soft Skills

• Problem Solving
• Flexibility

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Fluency in Afrikaans or Xhosa: Ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages is preferred.
• Sales awards or recognitions: Previous accomplishments in sales will be viewed favourably.
