We are on the lookout for a knowledgeable Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and network security. Your role will involve identifying vulnerabilities and implementing robust security measures to protect our systems and clients.

Responsibilities

• Assess risks to data and system integrity and recommend solutions.
• Maintain incident response protocols and procedures.
• Conduct penetration testing to identify weaknesses in systems.
• Collaborate with external vendors on security solutions.
• Create and implement disaster recovery plans.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field
• Master's degree in Cybersecurity is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a cybersecurity role

Technical Skills

• Firewall Management
• Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)

Soft Skills

• Problem Solving
• Teamwork

Certifications

• CompTIA Security+
• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Security Frameworks like NIST and ISO 27001: Understanding of security governance and risk management frameworks.
• Experience with penetration testing tools: Practical experience with tools for conducting penetration tests.
