Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our growing team in East London. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and the technical skills to assist in examinations, surgeries, and overall patient care. You will be an integral part of our veterinary team, ensuring the highest standards of care for our animal patients.

Responsibilities

  • Manage patient care with a focus on comfort and safety.
  • Conduct physical examinations and assess animal health.
  • Work collaboratively with the veterinary team to develop treatment plans.
  • Assist in implementing preventative care plans.
  • Educate clients on pet behavior and care strategies.
  • Maintain clear communication with pet owners regarding treatment plans.
  • Perform euthanasia with compassion when necessary.
  • Participate in continued education and professional development.
  • Manage scheduling and appointments.
  • Encourage a positive work environment through teamwork.

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma in Veterinary Technology
  • Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science or related field is a plus
Experience
  • Experience in emergency and critical care is advantageous
