Tax Consultant

Job Description

Join our team as a Tax Consultant, where you'll be instrumental in offering tailored tax solutions and assisting clients with their tax filings. You will engage with clients to develop strategies that minimize their tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with the law.

Responsibilities

• Analyze client financial records to ensure compliance with tax laws.
• Identify and advise on tax incentives and credits available to clients.
• Prepare detailed tax reports and presentations for clients.
• Train and mentor junior staff in tax compliance and planning.
• Participate in meetings with clients to present tax strategies and updates.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Master's degree in Taxation or related field is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in tax consulting or related roles

• Corporate Tax Advisory
• Interpersonal Skills

Soft Skills

• Project Management
• Client Relationship Management

Certifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA) is an advantage
• Advanced Taxation Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

• Experience with IFRS: Understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards.
• Tax audit experience: Hands-on experience dealing with tax audits.
