Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will contribute to a variety of projects including road construction, site development, and urban planning. You should have a solid foundation in engineering principles and experience in project management.

Responsibilities

• Draft design plans and present them to stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress and report on milestones.
• Resolve any engineering issues that arise during construction.
• Assess environmental impact and sustainability aspects.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technologies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Master's degree in Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 4-6 years of experience in civil engineering

Technical Skills

• Civil 3D
• Structural Analysis

Soft Skills

• Effective Communication
• Leadership

Certifications

• Chartered Engineer status
• ISO Certification in Quality Management

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficient in construction management software: Experience with software solutions like Primavera or MS Project.
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations: Strong understanding of South African building regulations.
