IT Support Technician

Job Description

We are on the lookout for an IT Support Technician to enhance our support team in Johannesburg. The successful applicant will demonstrate expertise in IT systems, provide excellent customer service, and work collaboratively with other departments to resolve technical issues promptly.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to users via phone, email, and in-person.
• Install and configure network equipment such as routers and switches.
• Ensure data backup and recovery processes are in place.
• Collaborate with IT team members to improve support processes.
• Identify trends in support requests and proactively address them.
• Maintain security protocols and IT compliance standards.
• Assist with IT training sessions for new hires.
• Participate in drafting IT policies and procedures.

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Linux operating systems: Basic knowledge of Linux for administrative tasks.
• Experience with cloud services: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS and Azure.
