Job Description

As a Logistics Coordinator, you'll be pivotal in managing and overseeing supply chain operations within our Durban facility. You will coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring timely delivery and optimal inventory management. The ideal candidate should possess excellent organizational skills and be adept in problem-solving to overcome logistical challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily logistics operations, ensuring that all processes run smoothly.
  • Analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement within the supply chain.
  • Create and implement strategies for driving cost savings in logistics operations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including suppliers and transport providers.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving activities.
  • Coordinate with the IT department to optimize logistics software and systems.
  • Conduct training for new logistics staff members on operations and system usage.
  • Participate in industry conferences to stay updated on trends and best practices.
  • Ensure all logistics operations align with the overall business objectives.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the logistics team.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain environments
